Although Katherine McNamara Walker: Independence Now airing on The CW, the actress is still thinking about her previous online venture. Time Arrow divided Green arrow and canary never went on the show, McNamara talked about the one storyline he needs to sort out and fans probably agree.
The potential backdoor driver of the spin-off enters ArrowThe last season ended with a big cliffhanger where William was caught. To date, this mystery has not been solved on screen. When McNamara returned as Mia Smoak for the “Armageddon” crossover event, she had yet to find her older brother. In a new interview with Boucleurla Shadow Hunters alum explained how desperately he needed the Arrowverse plot to be resolved:
There is a part of me that cannot rest until I find William. I can’t let a Queen boy move into the Arrowverse without solving this story.
It’s definitely still a shame that the episode ended on a cliffhanger and we never found a solution. Since McNamara still has an interest in the story told in the Arrowverse (or at least what’s left of it after all the cancellations), hopefully this resolves at some point before it’s too late, even if it’s not. see it really happen.
Katherine McNamara also revealed that she has been campaigning for the resolution of the story for quite some time. She knows that not only fans deserve it, but Ben Lewis, who played William, also deserves closure for his character. And if he depended on her, there would be no doubt:
The fandom deserves it and … I love Ben Lewis so much, and I can’t stand that he’s lost and we haven’t solved this story, but I’m still campaigning for it as much as possible. I have no control over this, but if I have anything to say about it, I’ll find William.
Sadly, it’s unclear if this story will ever be resolved, but knowing that Katherine McNamara is determined can help fans feel a little better. I wonder if he Arrow the writers who created the cliffhanger in the first place already had plans for what happened to William. From the way McNamara talks, it seems like he has no idea what his brother’s got on screen.
With the flash as the last remaining series which is canonically in the Arrowverse (as superman and laws it’s not in the Arrowverse), fingers crossed we all get our wish and McNamara returns the flashThe last season to get help finding his brother. Or, at least, we get good news about it and the save happens off-screen.
Before returning to the Arrowverse for the “Armageddon” crossover, Katherine McNamara expressed interest in returning as Mia. Now that it’s been a year since she reprized the role of Green Arrow, McNamara has her new project on The CW, but her heart is still with Mia and she puts an end to this story. Unfortunately, with The CW making cuts following its deal with Nextstar, it’s hard to predict what will happen on the network.
