George Clooney’s ‘Good Night and Good Luck’ will be adapted into a series

This second feature film directed by the American actor will be developed by the American channel AMC. Six episodes are currently being written.

Good night and good luck extends to the small screen. According to the media Term, the second film directed by George Clooney will be adapted as a series by the AMC channel. A success when it was released in 2005, this feature film in which the American actor plays was nominated six times for the Oscars.

Filmed in black and white, Good night and good luck tracks the fight led by the CBS news anchor and his producer to end the career of Senator Joseph McCarthy and his anti-communist witch hunt.

“We have expanded the universe of the film”

But unlike the original project, George Clooney will not contribute this time to the making or writing of the script for the six episodes that will make up this program. However, the 61-year-old actor will be in charge of producing the project.

“As a huge fan of the film, I didn’t want to copy it, or just make a facsimile of it. So we expanded the universe of the film to show how the division in the country and the hysteria of the time have infiltrated. all aspects of daily life,” he explained in a press release carried by Deadline.

To oversee this adaptation, AMC turned to Jonathan Glatzer, to whom we owe the successful series. Better call Saul either Succession.
