Having become one of the biggest stars in Hollywood, Margot Robbie confides in an interview with vanity fair that he imagined, after the worldwide success of the wolf of wall street in 2013, to end his career.
The reason: his difficulty in adjusting to his sudden fame. “It was unbearable,” recalls the actress, who was 22 years old at the time and had starred in several projects, including the series Pan American.
“I remember saying to my mom, ‘I don’t think I want to do this.’ And she looked me right in the eye and said, ‘Honey, I think it’s a little late. That’s when I realized that from then on she could just go for it.”
“It is dangerous”
Target of the paparazzi for years, Margot Robbie has learned to live without being bothered by their presence. But she bemoans the absence of international laws protecting stars from the behavior of these sensational photographers: “I know how to get by in an airport and I know who’s trying to piss me off.”
And to add: “If my mother dies in a car accident because they want a photo of me in a grocery store, or they run over my nephew, what for? for a photo? It’s dangerous and surprisingly nothing changes from that point of view.” .”
“We feel humiliated”
This is not the first time that Margot Robbie has confided in her difficulty in working and living with the pressure of the paparazzi. Last September, the actress confided in the set of tonight show of Jimmy Fallon who felt “humiliated” by stolen photos taken on the set of the film Barbie.
“I cannot express how humiliated we feel,” he said. “It seemed like we were having fun and having a good time, but we were dying. We were dying. For me, it was the most humiliating moment of my life.”
The actress did not expect the shoot to unleash the crowd so much. “I knew that there would be paparazzi, and that there would be people, because of our somewhat flashy outfits, but not that many. It was crazy! There were a hundred people watching us.”
