Return to France for the British. After revealing that they were going to reform on stage for a concert on July 8, 2023 at London’s Wembley Stadium, Blur have just announced that they will be performing at an unprecedented date in France.
As stated on Twitter, the British rock band formed by Damon AlbarnGraham Coxon, Alex James and Dave Rowntree have been invited to be part of the line-up for the Beauregard festival in Hérouville St-Clair (Calvados), on July 6.
This is the group’s first show in France since their appearance at the Zenith in Paris in 2015, during a tour for the launch of the magic whiphis latest studio album.
Louise Attaque and Angèle as headliner
While the possibility of a world tour is rumored, Paul Langeois, programmer of the Beauregard festival, tells West of France that Blur’s visit to Normandy will be “one of only two dates in France” for the London quartet next summer.
In addition to Blur, the Norman festival will welcome the groups Airbourne, Alt-J, Louise Attaque, Shaka Ponk, but also the singer Angèle and the rapper Lomepal for its 15th edition. It will take place from July 6 to 9, 2023. More artists will be announced soon.
