The fear of a “pale copy”

“It was very powerful and important in our lives,” explains Matthieu Chedid. “The void is immense, and it is the soul of Toumani who is a bit matured by a totem that gives the name to this album and what does so in the center of this story. On stage, we have this totem that is found.” Therefore, the work contains the latest Kora notes by Toumani Diabaté and the best guitar riffs by Amadou Bagayoko.
Matthieu Chedid and Fatoumata Diawara started their tour Totem Lamomali March 28 at Forges-Le-Aaux, then on April 1 in Folies Bergères. They will travel throughout France throughout the year and end with Accor Arena, in Paris, on December 16 and 17.
