Three days after unveiling a mural of a young gymnast painted on the wall of a dilapidated building in the town of Borodianka, Banksy confirmed that he had completed six new works in Ukraine.
On Instagram, the famous anonymous street artist shared a video in which we follow his journey through the country at war and discover this series of murals made with paint bombs and cardboard stencils.
Among them, the fresco of a bearded man lying in a bathtub, painted on the wall of a building reduced to ruins by bombs in Horenka, a village located in the Boutcha raïon.
“In solidarity with the Ukrainian people,” reads the end of the video.
“We Don’t Have Enough Tears Left”
In his video, Banksy also gives the floor to a mother accompanied by her little son, who recounts the horror of her day-to-day since the start of the Russian offensive against Ukraine.
“We’ve already cried so much that we don’t have enough tears left,” says the young Ukrainian posing with her son in front of a Banksy fresco.
On November 12, Banksy also posted a first template made at Borodianka on Instagram. Massively bombed in April 2022, this city has become a symbol of Russian destruction.
Also featured in his latest video are two other works identified in the Kyiv suburbs that had not yet been claimed by the British artist.
