Jim Morrison’s bust, stolen in 1988 at the Père-Lachaise cemetery, was found by chance, announced to the Judicial Police of the Paris Police Prefecture in their social networks.
The imposing sculpture of the doors singer, produced by Croatian artist Mlan Mikulin, had been stolen 37 years ago in the Paris cemetery.
This bust, installed during the ten years of death of Jim Morrison, was found by the financial and anti -corruption brigade of the Directorate of the Judicial Police of the Paris Police headquarters, AFP learned from a source close to the file, confirming RTL information.
Overdose in the bathroom
According to the radio, he was fortuitously discovered during a diligent search in a scam of the Paris prosecutor’s office.
The American rocker, a legendary singer of the doors, died in Paris in July 1971. According to the official version, Jim Morrison died in his bathtub at age 27, of a cardiac arrest. But, for a few years, another music has been heard: the journalist and writer Sam Bernett says in his books that the icon has made an overdose in the toilets of a Parisian nightclub, the “Circus rock’n’roll”.
Jim Morrison has been resting for more than fifty years in Père-Lachaise, where his grave still loves many fans, who meet with birthdays and come to deposit all kinds of offers.
