A “total victory” for your accuser. An American judge rejected the complaint on Monday, June 9, estimated at 400 million dollars from actor and director Justin Baldoni against Blake Lively, who has faced himself in court for months in the context of sexual harassment accused by the actress.
Last December, the New York Times revealed that the actress had filed a complaint against Justin Baldoni and producer Jamey Heath for inappropriate behaviors and comments, according to her, during the film’s filming Anymore (It ends with us).
Blake Lively had accused, for example, the actor, also director of the film, of improvised kisses who were not in the original script, and the producer of having seen his naked breasts in his shelter when he had demonstrated his discomfort.
In a statement sent to the New York Times, Bryan Freedman, lawyer of Justin Baldoni and Wayfarer, the production study behind the film, had denounced charges of “completely false, scandalous and volunteer savings.”
Camp Baldoni then filed a complaint in January at the Civil Court of New York against the actress, her husband, actor Ryan Reynolds and the New York Times, believing that these media had taken Sides on her cover of Blake Lively, heroine of Gossip Girl.
“Total Victoria”
However, on Monday, Judge Lewis J. Liman, of the Manhattan Court, “rejected” the Baldoni camp complaint, specifying that the New York Times had only published information contained in a complaint initially presented by the actress before a California court, which had taken care to request a reaction to the opposite part and integrate it into the article.
In his complaint, Justin Baldoni also estimated that Blake Lively, whose Instagram account claims more than 43 million subscribers, had tried to “steal” and “take control” of the film and its promotion. And he had accused Ryan Reynolds, the husband actress, of having brought her mistakenly for a sexual predator.
The Liman Judge also rejected these elements on Monday. In a statement issued by certain American media, the legal team of animated clan welcomed a “total victory” against the “retaliation complaint” by Justin Baldoni. Contacted by AFP, Justin Baldoni’s lawyer did not react immediately.
Taken from the success of sales by American writer Colleen Hoover, the film Anymore He had raised more than $ 350 million at the box office in 2024 to make it one of the greatest successes of the year.
