Liam Gallagher denounced comments attributed to Scottish local elected officials on Sunday who suggest that Oasis fans are drunks who occupy “much space”, according to internal documents published in the Scottish press.
These documents are the fruit of several meetings aimed at organizing the obtaining of the three concerts of the two enemy brothers, which must occur in August in the Scottish capital.
The Gallagher brothers announced at the end of August to reform Oasis, an emblematic group of Britpop, for a series of concerts in the United Kingdom and Ireland, aroused a large crazy 15 years after its separation.

However, a Scottish newspaper, the Sun Scottish, who had access to these documents, decided to publish the most clear parts. The latter specifically objective of the group’s fans, described as drunks of “medium age”, overweight.

For these elected officials, this supposed profile of Oasis fans is even more problematic since at the same time, the Scottish capital is the epicenter of another event: the world’s largest theater festival.
It must be held in Edinburgh from August 1 to 25.
According to them, the concomitance of these two events is problematic. They say they expect rock group fans to be alcoholic “moderately or even strongly.” What arouses the “concern” of the authorities for the “security” of the Attackal of the Fing Festival. “Many theater professionals plan to come,” they still write.

Words that aroused a scathing response from Liam Gallagher.
“I heard what you said about Oasis fans and, frankly, your damn attitude is zero. It would leave the city now if I were you,” he wrote in X.
“I would like to see a photo of all these elected officials, I bet that there are really impressive people among them,” he joked in a second message.
“We are all anxious to see that Oasis takes the stage in August,” British agency Pa Margaret Graham said, the culture of the city of Edinburgh in an attempt to close the controversy.
Around 210,000 people are expected for the three concerts of the group in Edinburgh. The British competition regulator, CMA, Ticketmaster sold more than 900,000 places for Oasis. Barclays estimates that almost 1.4 million viewers will attend concerts.
