This is a great first for Auverne-Rhône-Alpes. This year, Saint-Antoine-L’abbayen, a medieval city located in Isère between Grenoble and Valencia, won the favorite title of the French village on Wednesday, July 2 during the Stéphane Bern program broadcast on France 3.

Important economic benefits
The only village in the department of Isère to be classified among “the most beautiful peoples in France” since 2009, Saint-Antoine-L’abbaye is famous for its imposing abbey founded in the thirteenth century, which includes a museum on the history of the site.
The medieval city, which offers a view of the Vercors massif, delights heritage enthusiasts with their tortuous alleys, their colorful roofs and their houses part -time.
Thanks to this favorite French town, Saint-Antoine-L’abbaye can expect a tourist peak during the summer after the program and, therefore, important economic consequences.
