The couple met on the set of spider man: homecoming in 2016, when they were both in their 20s. It was clear from the start that the two actors immediately fell out of press interviews, and have long been rumored to be together, though many believe they started out as co-stars and best friends before their romance you bloom. Apparently Sony producer Amy Pascal gave them a “lesson” not to continue dating because it could “complicate things,” but they clearly haven’t listened.
In July 2021, paparazzi caught them kissing in a car, making their relationship public. Since the photos came out, Tom Holland and Zendaya have attended many events together. in pairs, and on rare occasions caught on social media to share sweet PDA for their birthdays. Holland has previously said that she feels like her privacy is no longer in her control and that she felt “robbed” by the paparazzi photos that have come out.
