This year, Pixar fans had the chance to receive two films from Disney’s computer animation studio: turns red Yes Light year. In 2023, there will only be one film offered by Pixar, but it looks pretty mind-blowing. We’ve had our first look Elementary In May, and six months later, the first trailer for the film’s 2023 release arrived, giving us our first glimpses into this world filled with clever elements.
Of the things we already knew Elementary Prior to today, this film is set in a world where elements such as fire, water, earth and air have taken anthropomorphic forms and walk around like people. This trailer gives us our first look at what it looks like, from the sentient clouds hanging over the subway car roof to a downed mother exhausted from her potted seedlings. Based on this trailer only, while Elementary certainly offers one of Pixar’s most outlandish concepts, as with almost everything the studio offers to audiences, it’s a visually stunning affair, and it’s sure to be entertaining for viewers of all ages.
It’s only towards the end of Elementary trailer that gives us an idea of the main story of this film. A woman of fire named Ember, voiced by Nancy drewLeah Lewis, fetches her headphones after removing them from her hooded head, but also a nearby waterman named Wade, voiced by Domination of the Jurassic WorldThis is Mamoudou Athie. We only heard them introduce themselves before the preview ended, but make no mistake, now sparks are flying between them. Wait, there’s sensitive electricity in the Elementary world? I digress, the fact is Elementary will follow Ember and Wade as they discover they have more in common than two people from their respective elemental groups could expect.
Specifically, what awaits Ember and Wade on their personal journey together is being kept under wraps right now, but Elementary is directed by Peter Sohn, who has been with Pixar since finding Nemo days and previously flown the good dinosaur. Not only that, Elementary is the brainchild of Sohn, and the director says his childhood as the son of Korean immigrants in the 1970s inspired the story. Elementary is produced by Denise Ream, whose previous Pixar credits include precedents the good dinosaur, On the top, cars 2 Yes toy story 4.
Elementary will be released in theaters on June 16, 2023 and as more details about the next Pixar film arrive, we will share them.
