Things have been hectic for Tom Brady lately, and I’m not talking about his exploits with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers during this current NFL season . Brady recently finalized his divorce. by Gisele Bündchen, to whom he has been married since 2009. Next their split was quickly resolved the two Bündchen and Brady work on co-parenting his two sons with success. Meanwhile, celebs are getting closer to their first single parent holiday, Thanksgiving. Brady recently shared some thoughts on Turkey Day and the importance of being there for your kids.
Tom Brady won’t be washing his shoes and hitting the grill this Thanksgiving because the Bucs aren’t scheduled to play. With this, you will likely be spending some quality time with your family, probably with your three children included. Brady shares 12-year-old son Benjamin and 9-year-old daughter Vivian with Gisele Bündchen. He also has a 15-year-old son, Jack, from his relationship with actress Bridget Moynahan. The star quarterback is well known for his hard work on the field, but when it comes to the holidays, his goal is to give his kids the same kind of attention his parents once gave him:
My dad was always, you know, all I needed. [, I had it]. I think [for] as a parent and thankful on Thanksgiving, it’s always time for family. When you think about those vacations and the commitment parents and my parents made to me and my career, it’s amazing. … You only have those people in your life like your parents and the commitment they make to enable your success. It speaks of gratitude and perspective and appreciation for all those people along the way. I’m here in my 23rd season, looking forward to finishing here strong after Thanksgiving. And of course with a lot of gratitude to the people who have had such an impact on my life and who have supported me throughout this incredible career. And you know, I just want to be for my kids. You know, I just want to be the best dad that I can be.
Home support is invaluable to a child’s success, and the future Hall of Famer seems to understand this all too well. Heck, considering all the guidance she’s received in her formative years, that’s a shining example of what a strong support system can do for someone. The athlete, of course, has a lot of natural talent (as evidenced by his seven Super Bowl rings), but those skills would have meant nothing if he hadn’t had the support of parents who guided him in the right way. It seems clear that the former New England patriot hopes to do this for his children to the best of his ability.
Tom Brady’s divorce and his new status as a single father aren’t the only big things happening to him in 2022. Earlier this year, he famous did not retire from football , a decision that rocked the sports world. So far, Tampa Bay hasn’t had exactly the kind of season Brady and his teammates were hoping for. He apparently alluded to this fact while discussing the party with Charles Barkley, TNT analyst who recently resigned and Jim Gray in an episode of Here we go! podcasts:
Interesting, I’ve eaten a lot of humble pie this year, so maybe I should treat myself to a pumpkin pie and whipped cream. I’ll have fun, it’ll be a nice Thanksgiving.
Few things can make you feel better than a fresh piece of cake. You can’t help but laugh when you hear Brady, who is notoriously strict about his nutrition, talk about being chewy this holiday season. And while he doesn’t get drunk (like most of us), I hope he and his kids can create some sweet vacation memories.
