The new queen consort and wife of King Charles III, Camilla, donated to charity on Thursday dozens of Paddington teddy bears that had been left as tributes to the late Queen Elizabeth II.
More than a thousand teddy bears were placed outside royal palaces and parks in London and Windsor during the mourning period that followed Queen Elizabeth’s death in September.
The queen consort visited Barnardo’s nursery in east London on Friday to attend the ‘bear picnic’, complete with jam sandwiches, and hand out some of the pre-washed Paddingtons to the children.

Camilla was joined by Hugh Bonneville and Madeleine Harris, two leading actors who have played the roles of Mr Brown and Judy in recent films. paddingtonadaptation of the famous series of children’s books.
Paddington’s character, a young Peruvian bear fostered by a British family, appeared with Queen Elizabeth II during the filming of a short video released on the occasion of her platinum jubilee. It featured the Queen having tea with Paddington and revealing that she always kept a jam sandwich, the bear cub’s favorite delicacy, in her bag.
