Ike Turner Jr sound musician and engineer, son of the N’roll Tina Turner rock icon and his ex -husband Ike Turner, died on Saturday at the age of 67 for renal insufficiency, in a Los Angeles hospital, said his cousin Jacqueline Bullock on the US TMZ tabloid.
The latter said that Ike Turner JR has suffered serious heart problems for years and that his health has been decreasing for some time. He had recently been the victim of a stroke in early September.
“With great sadness I announced the death of my cousin, Ike Turner Jr,” he said, emphasizing that he “was much more than a cousin” for her: “It was a brother, we grew up together in the same family.”

Ike Jr.’s sister -in -law, Affida Turner, also paid tribute to Instagram: “Rest in peace IKE JR: You were an incredible brother -in -law. I am happy to have been able to talk to you by phone before leaving us. I love you Rip.”
Born in 1958 of Ike Turner Mr. and Lorraine Taylor, the singer’s first companion, Ike Jr. was quickly adopted by her new wife, Tina Turner, flourishing in the midst of her parents’ incredible musical career of her parents. The couple remained married 14 years. A union marked by domestic violence.
After Tina Turner and Ike Turner separated in 1976, Ike Jr. continued working as a sound engineer for the American star for a short period.
Ike Turner died in 2007 of an overdose of cocaine, while Tina Turner died at age 83 on May 24, 2023 in Switzerland, succumbing to a long disease. Tina Turner had raised four children, the first two children of Ike Turner, Ike Jr and Michael, Craig, born of her union with the saxophonist Raymond Hill, and Ronnie Turner, the only son born of her union with Ike Turner. Ronnie disappeared in 2022, married the former reality television candidate Affidance Turner.
