Founding Member of Oasis, guitarist Paul Arthurs will have to be absent from the meeting tour of the Manchester group due to his health.
Affected by prostate cancer, the musician, nicknamed “Bonehead,” he announced on Instagram that he was going to be treated to receive treatment. Therefore, it will not be present on the stage to play with Liam and Noel Gallagher in Seoul, Tokyo, Melbourne and Sydney in October.
“At the beginning of the year, I was diagnosed with prostate cancer. The good news is that I react very well in the treatment, which allowed me to participate in this incredible tour. But now I must pause for the next phase of my treatment,” he said on Instagram.
The 60 -year -old musician said he would return to the stage in November for the Oasis tour in South America.
In remission of tonsil cancer
In 2022, Paul Arthurs had revealed to be suffering a tonsil cancer that forced him to retire from the scene to begin his treatment in Christie NHS Foundation Trust in Manchester. But a few months later, he announced that he was in remission.
Confusing with Liam Gallagher D’Oasis, which was originally called the rain before the arrival of Noel, Paul Arthurs, recorded three albums with Oasis, which includes Definitely maybe AND (What is the story) Morning GloryThey have marked the group’s career.
In 1999, the guitarist decided to leave the Gallagher brothers during the recording of his fourth album, Standing on the shoulder of the giants. Then he joined the Beady Eye Group by Liam Gallagher, from 2013 to 2014, and had often played on stage with Liam during the latter’s solo race. Paul Arthurs had also trained the Flamese hillside group and worked as a DJ on the radio during his career after the oasis.
