Actress Audrey Fleurot, who turned the page on the HPI phenomenon, began filming on Tuesday on a miniseries for TF1, “The Countess of Montecristo,” the audiovisual group announced.
It is a “free and daring adaptation of The Count of Monte Cristo,” where the character of Mercédès Herrera, the hero’s fiancée, played by Audrey Fleurot, “becomes the heroine of her own destiny,” according to TF1, which partnered with Netflix for the eight episodes.
Filming takes place in Malta and the Czech Republic. The production is carried out by Djibril Glissant and Leonardo D’Antoni, according to a press release.
