“I’m fine,” Brigitte Bardot said Wednesday night in a message on the social network X, in response to rumors on the Internet about her health.
“I don’t know who the idiot is who launched this ‘fake news’ about my disappearance this afternoon, but know that I’m fine and that I have no intention of retiring,” said the 91-year-old former icon of French cinema.
Returning home after hospitalization
Brigitte Bardot returned home last Friday after “a small surgical intervention” that required hospitalization in Toulon (Var), her secretariat informed AFP last week.
“BB”, who left cinema in the 1970s to dedicate himself to animal causes, lives between his famous residence of La Madrague in Saint-Tropez, in the south of France, and a second house hidden in the greenery, La Garrigue, which houses animals and a private chapel.
Last May, in an interview with BFMTV, she said that she lived “like a farmer” surrounded by her sheep, her pigs, her dogs, her cats, her donkey and her pony and she had “neither a cell phone nor a computer.”
