An unexpected return. 30 years after his role in one night in hell by Robert Rodriguez, and some appearances in his films, director Quentin Tarantino will once again act in front of the camera. The filmmaker of pulp fiction will be one of the protagonists of Only what we carryJamie Adams’ new movie.
Filmed in France, in Deauville, this drama is described as “a meditation on love, loss and the quiet courage it takes to move on.” Quentin Tarantino will play the role of John Percy, a mysterious man whose arrival brings long-hidden truths to light.

The director will star Simon Pegg. The latter will play Julian Johns, a formidable former teacher whose former student Charlotte Levant (Sofia Boutella) returns home to confront the ghosts of her past. Charlotte Gainsbourg will play Joséphine Chabrol, Charlotte’s protective sister.
American singer Lizzy McAlpine will also make her film debut in the role of Jacqueline, “a young aspiring dancer whose presence forces everyone to face the weight of what they have left behind,” the synopsis states.
Although he has regularly made cameos in his own films, Quentin Tarantino is awkward in front of the camera. The one who abandoned the filming of his tenth and last film The film criticwith Tom Cruise and Brad Pitt, he notably played a crazy priest in the film little nicky (2000) or starred in the series Alias.
