Is Britney Spears in danger? This Sunday, November 2, the singer’s official account was deleted from the platform, after the latter published several worrying messages, enough to alert her fans.
Shortly before the publication at the end of October of her ex-husband’s autobiography, Kevin Federline, in which he condemns the pop star, Britney Spears had published, according to People magazine, a video of herself in which she appeared with bruises on her arms and bandages on her wrists.
In the caption, the 43-year-old artist explains that she had fallen down the stairs of a friend’s house, before indicating that her two sons, Jayden James, 19, and Sean Preston, 20, had gone to join their father, Kevin Federline, in Hawaii.
“Brain damage”
In another publication from mid-October, Britney Spears also spoke about her time in rehabilitation in 2018, when she was still under guardianship, stating that she “suffered brain damage” during this treatment.
“I feel so bad for her,” says a fan of the singer on TikTok concerned about the deletion of her Instagram account. “I hope he is okay and can get help if he needs it. We wish him the best.”
Tensions with her ex-husband
Instagram, however, did not specify whether Britney Spears’ account – where she had 42 million subscribers – was deleted by the singer herself or by the platform.
This disappearance also occurs after the artist’s publications published in X in reaction to the publication of her ex-husband’s autobiography. In this work, titled You thought you knewKevin Federline accused Britney Spears in particular of having had worrying behavior with his two children.
“It has become impossible to pretend that everything is fine,” he wrote, predicting that “something bad is going to happen.”
“My ex-husband’s constant manipulations are extremely painful and exhausting. I have always begged and insisted to be able to live with my children,” the pop star reacted to X on October 16.
This is not the first time that Britney Spears’ posts on social media have worried her fans. In September 2023, the police even had to go to the star’s house after a video was broadcast in which she danced with knives.
Kevin Federline accused of taking advantage of Britney
Married to Kevin Federline from 2004 to 2007, Britney Spears was forced to leave custody of her two children to her ex-partner due to her depressive disorders, which contributed to the singer’s descent into hell in the late 2000s.
But the pop star continued to pay Kevin Federline $20,000 child support until he came of age. A payment that ended in 2023 when the youngest of the two turned 18 years old.
Since then, Britney Spears fans have accused the singer’s ex-husband of wanting to take advantage of her by publishing an autobiography to make money at her expense. Accusations shared by the artist’s spokesperson.
“With the publication of Kevin (Federline’s) book, he and others are once again taking advantage of (Britney Spears) and, unfortunately, this is coming after Kevin’s child support ended,” she said.
For his part, Kevin Ferdeline defended himself by assuring that “money is not at the origin of this story.” “I’m doing this now because I wanted to make sure my kids were old enough to understand what I’m doing,” he said in an interview with Entertainment tonight.
