While the choice of the young lady who will succeed Diane Leyre will take place on December 17 in Déols (Centre-Val-de-Loire), the jury of the famous beauty contest has just been announced.
It will be chaired this year by actor Francis Huster, according to the Miss France committee. At his side, the judoka, Olympic champion, Clarisse Agbegnenou, the singer Kendji Girac, the artist and comedian Camille Lellouche, the actor and producer Dominique Besnehard, Miss France 2013, Marine Lorphelin and the actor Arnaud Ducret will have the arduous task of deciding between the 30 candidates for this 2023 edition.
As every year, the candidate “who will be designated Miss France 2022 will submit to the 50/50 vote of the jury and the spectators”, recall the organizers in their press release.
Nine paintings on the theme of cinema.
This 2023 edition will be marked by several novelties, in particular by the appointment of the new director of the Miss France contest, Cindy Fabre. She succeeds Sylvie Tellier, for whom the 2023 ceremony will be the last, after 17 years within the pageant organization.
After the musicals in 2021, the Miss France pageant will have cinema as its theme this year. The 30 contenders for the crown will thus explore no less than nine different paintings based on the great classics of the 7th art: Harry Potter, Amélie Poulain, avengers…
And for the first time in the history of the pageant, the reigning Miss, Diane Leyre, will be part of the opening table of the ceremony, inspired by the film titanic by James Cameron. A tribute will also be paid to the British artist Elton John, in full farewell tour, through a painting about the film rocketman.
