Joe Pesci Opens Up About His Injuries On The Set Of ‘Mom, I Missed The Plane Again’

The interpreter of Harry Lime, the dangerous thief facing the young Kevin McCallister, was injured on the set of the sequel to Mom I missed the plane.

Joe Pesci not only had fond memories of the ’90s classic Mom, I missed the plane again.where he plays Harry Lime, a dangerous thief who confronts the young Kevin McCallister.

And as he reveals in an interview with the magazine Peoplethe comedian suffered “severe burns” after filming a scene in the sitcom where his character’s hat caught fire.

“In addition to the shocks, bruises and pain usually associated with this very physical type of comedy, I suffered severe burns to my skull during the scene where Harry’s hat is on fire,” he explained.

“I was lucky to have real stuntmen for the really difficult stunts,” he added.

“A Very Nice Boy”

Joe Pesci has fond memories of Macaulay Culkin. “I remember a guy who was really nice and very professional despite his age. I deliberately limited my interactions with him to preserve our character dynamics.”

Mom, I missed the plane! (1990) and Mom, I missed the plane again. (1992), starring Macaulay Culkin and Joe Pesci, were the first two installments in a franchise that spawned six films in total.

The first three films on the license grossed nearly a billion dollars at the worldwide box office. a reboot, Mom, I missed the plane! (start again)premiered in 2021 on Disney+.
