With 2023 on the horizon, bringing an assortment of new and recurring shows Also, the chances of the Tanner family returning to the small screen aren’t extremely high. Between Bob Saget’s tragic death, co-star Candace Cameron Bure’s current duties on GAF (however controversial they are ), Various concerts by John Stamos TV and even more, there doesn’t seem to be the time or availability to shake things up in the foreseeable future. But Jodie Sweetin has a pretty stellar idea for how to bring the Tanners back to the small screen, and the late comedy queen Betty White would probably give her a laugh-like stamp of approval.
Talk with MYSELF! information On the TV role that made her a household name for decades to come, Sweetin opened up about how she’d like to return as Stephanie Tanner in the future, but perhaps a little further into the future than fans might expect. She would like to be reunited with the San Fran family when they are in their golden years. In her words:
I still think the Golden Girls version of Fullest House could happen. I saw myself in a muumuu on a porch in Miami. I already feel it. I’m already trying to channel Bea Arthur as much as possible.
Jodie Sweetin would probably need to grow a few inches taller, with a deeper and deeper voice, to truly embrace her inner Bea Arthur. But she is not like a second Sold out the continuation of the series would in fact be a parody of Daddy’s girls or something. Though I could actually see Andrea Barber’s Kimmy Gibbler play Sophia, even if the age gaps didn’t match. I’m pretty sure we’d need one or both of the Olsen twins returning as Michelle Tanner to round out the female foursome, but that’s probably the least likely item to fix.
While this particular idea is more of a random shot in the dark about how a return might work for these characters, Sweetin doesn’t actually know if such an idea is feasible. But while nothing is currently in preparation, she mused on the low likelihood that a Sold out follow-up appeared in the years immediately following its conclusion, saying:
Who knows what can happen, I’m not against it. If you’d asked us 20 years ago if we’d do a Full House reboot, we’d have said, “No, probably not.” So from the other 20 years, we’ll see what happens.
Jodie Sweetin will be 60 in 20 years, just under three years Daddy’s girls stars they were when this show debuted. (Rue McClanahan was about 12 years younger than her co-stars.) So maybe don’t set your 2042 calendars for next. Sold out iteration again, but don’t be surprised if the Tanner family returns in some capacity.
Of course, that would likely mean the current backlash against Candace Cameron Bure for her comments on the Christmas movie GAF regarding content focusing on “traditional weddings,” which many have deemed an insult to the LGBTQ+ community, given Bure’s departure from the Hallmark Channel when it started. increasingly inclusive with its programming. Sweetin herself has aligned herself with those speaking out against Bure, such as Holly Robinson Peete and JoJo Siwa, which has reportedly led Bure to unfollow Sweetin on social media. Will there be water under the bridge in 20 years?
