As GMA third issue rumors swirl, crisis manager explains why TJ Holmes and Amy Robach would be less of a problem on another network

The last few years have seen hello AmericaThe third hour of is centered around the charismatic duo of TJ Holmes and Amy Robach, and the current news cycle has partly focused on the couple who engaged in a romantic relationship after quietly separating from their respective spouses. The news of their long run was complicated not only by the decision of remove them from on-air features despite the fact that the pair returned to the anchor chairs without issue over the next few days after the semi-scandalous revelations but also due to more business rumors and allegations coming to light.

Let’s look at one of the latest high-profile rumors, plus how one crisis management professional thinks this situation would have played out very differently if Holmes and Robach had hosted a morning show on a different network.

A third love story for TJ Holmes?

TJ Holmes, who reportedly split from wife Marilee Fiebig over the summer, reportedly had another CMG extensionrelationship centered before Amy Robach as she was reportedly in a relationship with a producer who left Morning TV in 2017. Now Entertainment Tonight has revealed sources claiming that Holmes was in another affair backstage and that this third woman Unnamed no longer works for ABC. More details on this alleged romance have yet to be released.

ET also pointed out that Holmes’ alleged affair with the producer is why Marilee Fiebig became suspicious of him and Robach’s friendship while vacationing together in the Bahamas earlier this year. In particular, the birthday card Robach gave Holmes was “too familiar” and reportedly brought up memories of his troubled past.

Because TJ Holmes and Amy Robach probably would have done better with a different network

Until date, CMG3 still doesn’t have TJ Holmes and Amy Robach behind the emcees desk, which has raised more than a few questions as to why this continues to be the case, when apparently no necessary disciplinary action has been attempted, given their behavior on set and in front of to the camera. He says he’s always been completely professional. Eric Shiffer, president of Reputation Management Consultants, chimed in on the matter, citing Disney’s idealized and flawless reputation as the cause of his prolonged hiatus. Talk with Fox News , Shiffer expressed his belief that Holmes and Robach would not have faced the same setback had they been employed by a network other than ABC. In his words:

They are known for a certain standard of moral conduct. I think Amy and TJ’s careers are probably off at Disney and Good Morning America. I think if they had been on another network they could have continued. In fact, the ratings may have been even better.

Of course, such thoughts should be taken with a grain of salt, as Disney’s higher-ups are unlikely to publicly cite value systems as the reason. CMG3 has not yet found its regular guests. Producers and executives would be trying to figure out the next step, which could very well come down to waiting for the hype to die down. Other than that, it’s unclear how ABC can resolve the issues unless Holmes and/or Robach voluntarily step down. However, let’s hope that’s not the case.
