those who have seen Inside the NBA We’ve known over the years that the sports talk show is mostly distinguished by the antics of its commentators. And these antics, which typically involve Shaquille O’Neal and Charles Barkley , do not decrease during the holiday season. Whenever one of the stars is on set in December, it’s not exactly a silent night. This week’s episode proved that notion, as Shaq was pushed against a Christmas tree. If you missed it, don’t worry because the video is there and the fans are screaming.
The moment, which has since gone viral, occurred when Shaq attempted to beat fellow Kenny Smith in a run to the latter’s backboard. The two ran away from the office they share with Charles Barkley and Ernie Johnson in a bid to win. However, the usually friendly Smith (who clearly didn’t want to be beaten), ended up throwing the former NBA big man into the huge Christmas tree on set. You can see the photos, which were posted on Chirping for you:

Honestly, I don’t know who worried me more in this situation: Shaquille O’Neal or the tree. Don’t get me wrong, I don’t want the big shot to get hurt, but the tree took as many hits as it did. Luckily, both survived the ordeal seemingly unscathed, which also means we can now joke about it. Interestingly, one fan thought it was only a matter of time before at least one of the stars encountered the massive tree:
A few minutes before he did, I was watching the show and I was like, ‘Damn, with this Christmas suit they have now, I wonder how many weeks Shaq or one of them will take. each other to be pushed into the Christmas tree or to fall on them?” 🤣🤣December 7, 2022
What seems to excite fans the most is the sight of Shaq’s feet poking out from under the tree after the push. As one astute commentator wryly pointed out, the shot is very reminiscent of a rather iconic cinematic moment:

It must be said that this moment is also important when it comes to Inside the NBAthe story of Some who perhaps know that it is not the first time that the former athlete, who once played alongside Kobe Bryant , has already been thrown up a tree (and also by Kenny Smith). The same thing happened several years ago and the results were probably crazier:

Shaq hasn’t exactly had a great relationship with Christmas trees in general during his tenure on the award-winning show. Another user pointed this out by sharing a snippet from another encounter the media personality had with one:

Like this example and the one that happened several years ago, this moment will be remembered for quite some time. One fan even managed to hilariously mark the occasion by creating “the best Christmas card ever”:

Most viewers probably expect to see wilder moments like this in years to come, and they probably will. Charles Barkley and company. have renewed their TNT offers this year after the rumors that the former Phoenix Sun reportedly retired . Wait now to see you arrive stuffed with buckets of water Yes sometimes hilariously derails the show . And of course, there’s always the possibility that O’Neal could be thrown up a tree again at some point. I don’t know if he’s the deprecatory star’s favorite thing, but he’s clearly filling fans with holiday cheer.
Inside the NBA airs Wednesdays at 12:30 p.m. ET on TNT.
