The internet has become a beautiful palace for people to share their art and one thing we often see is an artistic representation of what a particular actor would look like playing a famous role. However, what if a popular film was directed by someone else? A digital artist imagined this The Avengers it looks like it was directed by Wes Anderson, and the Russo brothers are also impressed.
Wes Anderson definitely has a unique aesthetic when it comes to his movies. He has a particular use of color and block that really exemplifies the phrase “every frame is a painting”. So we can probably imagine what Wes Anderson’s Avengers would be like, even if the idea is clearly bizarre. Digital artist Adam Hall put together exactly that, and the Russo brothers shared the footage, saying it’s actually a movie they want to go see.
This art is quite amazing. It’s AI-assisted art, but even most of this artist’s published work looks drawn, not as if he’s posed with real people. If that can be achieved with this technology, it seems likely that we’ll start seeing a lot more of other artists.
It certainly doesn’t look much like the MCU as we know it. Part of the idea is that it wouldn’t just be a film directed by Wes Anderson. avengers but it would be a decade before the film was released. As such, what really sets everything apart is the use of costumes that look far more realistic than the largely CGI creations we get in actual movies.
Ultimately, the whole idea is probably better as frames. The real thing, if proven, probably wouldn’t be as inventive and weird as these pictures look. At the same time, you want to see it because, in addition to looking great, the dialogue in this movie would probably be great.
The first batch of footage proved so popular, thanks in no small part to signal amplification by the Russo brothers, that Adam Hall’s artist created some additional footage that’s just as good as the previous ones.
And who knows, the multiverse is real, right? That means there’s probably a Marvel Cinematic Universe out there somewhere that looks something like this. We saw Star Wars as portrayed by anime artists, we could see Marvel characters get similar treatment with other directors. It seems unlikely that Wes Anderson would be interested in taking on the Avengers, but who knows, sometimes crazy things happen. Maybe there’s room for a one-off special in Marvel’s upcoming Phase 5.
