The Cocaine Bear has a Twitter account and wants to tell his story

There have been many outlandish concepts for horror movie in the past, like snakes on a plane, gremlin, arachnophobia, Canine Yes Teeth, just to name a few. Coming up this February is cocaine bear, inspired by a real bear who ingested millions of cocaine. However, in the film version, instead of the bear dying from all those drugs, he goes on a vengeful murderous rampage. Oh, and he now has a Twitter account.

Along with an outrageous profile picture of the film’s stoned star and a bio that reads “The Bear Who Ate Cocaine,” the account posts tweets like this:

The cocaine bear Chirping appeared last week as NSFW cocaine bear trailer was released in promotion for a February 2023 release. Since joining the internet, the bear has been sharing memes about his movie. The account has already amassed nearly 50,000 followers as it prepares to tell the “story” about him.

The film is based on a true story that happened to an American black bear, who overdosed on cocaine in 1985 after a private plane dropped a shipment of 40 plastic containers of cocaine in a Georgia forest. The bear, also sometimes referred to as “Pablo Eskobear,” ate millions of cocaine and died soon after. His body was stuffed and donated to the Chattahoochee River National Recreation Area in Kentucky, where it remains today.

cocaine bear was led by actress and Charlie’s Angels director Elizabeth Banks , who called the film a “revenge bear” after the real inspiration was “collateral damage in our really fucked up war on drugs.” This is a horror comedy that Banks has been looking for pay tribute to Sam Raimi, John Carpenter and Steven Spielberg throughout the manufacturing process.

The Cocaine Bear was made for the film through Weta Digital Workshop which is a CGI studio also famous for working on the recent Planet of the Apes movie next the Lord of the Rings even franchised. The bear was created after the filmmakers looked at reference photos of real bears and implementing a bear actor to bring the stunts to life on set before CGI.

The film was produced by spider wormsLord and Miller, who called him “crazy” and starring Keri Russell, O’Shea Jackson, Alden Ehrenreich, Jesse Tyler Ferguson, Christian Convery and the late Ray Liotta.
