The the cast of Christopher Nolan openheimer it is made up of some of the best actors currently working. With Cillian Murphy leads the ensemble as J. Robert Oppenheimer , will be joined by heavyweights such as Matt Damon, Florence Pugh, Gary Oldman and Kenneth Branagh. Another towering name among A-list actors is Robert Downey Jr., and Nolan has nothing but good things to say about it. Man of Steel the actor’s performance in openheimer.
In an interview with Total Film (via game radar ) Nolan talked about working with his amazing cast, and spoke specifically about what it was like to see RDJ perform, saying:
We all know that Robert Downey Jr. is one of the biggest movie stars. It’s so easy to forget that he’s also one of the greatest actors of all time. To see him lose himself in that performance and completely lose himself in a character like that was just an amazing reminder of how good of an actor he is.
In openheimerDowney will play Lewis Strauss, a naval officer who served two terms on the United States Atomic Energy Commission. Atomic Heritage Foundation Strauss played a significant role in Oppenheimer’s security hearing, which resulted in Oppenheimer’s security clearance being revoked. Based on that, it looks like Downey will go hand in hand with Murphy in the film, and watching these two powerhouses perform must have been amazing, as Nolan pointed out.
Based on openheimer trailer and the brief moment where you can hear Downey’s voice over the intense music, I was already convinced he was absolutely amazing in this movie. So hearing this from Nolan, who has directed such incredible actors as Heath Ledger and Leonardo DiCaprio, I’m 100% sure Downey’s performance will be phenomenal.
While many who have seen the Marvel movies in order Know Downey as one of the pioneers of the Marvel Cinematic Universe like the beloved Tony Stark too many other great films where he immersed himself in fictional roles.
RDJ has been nominated for two films, Chaplin Yes tropical thunder, and that alone goes to show just how versatile he is as an actor, as these two movies couldn’t be more different. He has also received acclaim for his work on Marvel films like Iron Man, as well as other similar films Sherlock Holmes Yes Good night and good luck.
As someone who knows Downey best from his time in the Marvel films, I can’t wait to see him transform into a completely different character. Also, I can’t wait to see him perform alongside this incredibly talented cast.
