Phase Four of the Marvel Cinematic Universe has greatly expanded its reach, thanks to television and film projects. But through all the most anticipated wonderful next movie it was ryan cooper Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. This is due to the huge popularity of the first film, as well as the real emotions related to the late star Chadwick Boseman. it is something black panther 2 Concept art revealed that Shuri’s costume could have looked as if Boseman hadn’t surprisingly died.
Ryan Coogler and company I had already created a script for black panther 2 when Chadwick Boseman passed away in the summer of 2020 . As a result, the story has changed a lot, with wakanda forever being a meditation on pain that Shuri showed by Letitia Wright detect of the Panther. Some original concept art that has arrived instagram revealed the original plan to change this character for the movie, check it out below:
I mean, how cool is that? While Shuri was apparently always meant to team up with Riri Williams aka Ironheart in black panther 2, his team would have been very different. After all, there would have been no reason for her to become a panther if Chadwick Boseman’s character T’Challa returned to lead the sequel’s cast. Let’s analyze what is shown to us here.
The image above comes from concept designer Phil Saunders’ Instagram. He has worked on several blockbuster hits for Marvel and beyond, including Avengers ending, Star Wars: The Rise of SkywalkerYes the king’s man. He used his talents to help develop the visual language of Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, and he started doing this work long before filming began. Plus, Saunders was even working on the Ironheart armor and concepts like that before Chadwick Boseman died of colon cancer.
Though Ironheart looks pretty similar to his appearance in black panther 2, Shuri sports a very different look. It seems like she could have had her vibranium wings in the movie, keeping her signature gauntlets as her main weapon. But that never materialized, even though there were major updates for other characters like Danai Gurira’s Okoye.
Instead of the wings shown above, Shuri introduced new technology with the Midnight Angel armor, which was eventually used by Okoye and Aneka by Michaela Coel . In addition to flight, they were also given superhuman strength and durability. And it should be fascinating to see how the Angels affect future MCU installments. As for the Dora Milaje, they have new leadership in the form of Florence Kasumba’s Ayo.
Black Panther: Wakanda Forever keep on make money at the box office and recently earned two Golden Globe nominations : Best Supporting Actress for Angela Bassett and Best Song for “Raise Me Up” by Rihanna. The MCU will return to theaters with Ant-Man 3 on February 17th. In the meantime, check out the Movie release dates 2023 to plan New Year’s theater outings.
