The Weeknd unveiled his piece on Thursday night. nothing is lost accompanying the premiere of the American film Avatar: The Path of Water. He had formalized last week his participation in the soundtrack of this second installment of the James Cameron franchise.
The Canadian artist succeeds here the British singer Leona Lewis who performed I see you for the launch ofAvatar in 2009. The film’s soundtrack, composed by Simon Franglen, takes up in part that of the American composer James Horner, who died in 2015, for the first film.
The film, released in France, hits US theaters
Avatar: The Path of Water marks the return of director James Cameron to the camera, 13 years after the premiere of the first part. Since then, Jake Sully and Neytiri have started a family, but humans return to the planet Pandora to settle there and exploit its resources.
The former Marine soldier, now Na’vi, will have to take refuge with his family in a new region and meet the Metkayina clan with customs very different from his own. The film, released in France this Wednesday, December 14, is the second part of a film saga that should last until 2028.
