Members of the Accession Council, including Prince William, Prime Minister Liz Truss, Queen Consort Camilla and the Archbishop of Canterbury, signed the official document of this proclamation.
Charles III makes a speech and takes the oath
Lord Penny Mordaunt, who is presiding over the event, invited all those present to go to the throne room, where the new King Charles III arrived.
In a speech, he first paid tribute once again to his “beloved mother the Queen”, evoking a “consolation” in knowing that the “whole world” is with him in his grief after her death.
