A movie themed show.
The scenery of this election of Miss France will be under the sign of the cinema. Through 10 paintings, the 30 candidates will pay tribute to films such as Harry Potter, Amélie Poulain, Titanic Where avengers.
The show will also pay tribute to Elton John, who will wrap up his farewell tour next year. A painting will thus evoke the biopic of the singer rocketman.
Bérengère Krief replaces Camille Lellouche at short notice
The singer and actress Camille Lellouche, who was going to be part of the Miss France jury, canceled her participation this Saturday, a few hours before the ceremony.
“Unfortunately, Camille Lellouche was forced to cancel her visit to the Miss France 2023 election for reasons beyond her control. She was happy to participate,” TF1 said on Twitter.
The actress Berengère Krief, who replaces her, joins the jury chaired by the actor Francis Huster. At his side, the judoka, Olympic champion, Clarisse Agbegnenou, the singer Kendji Girac, the actor and producer Dominique Besnehard, the Miss France 2013, Marine Lorphelin and the actor Arnaud Ducret will have the difficult task of deciding between the 30 candidates of this year.
Jean-Pierre Foucault, faithful to the position
For more than 25 years he has been the host of the Miss France evening, without an iota of fatigue. The stainless Jean-Pierre Foucault presents his 28th Miss France election this Saturday evening. Every year, the presenter comes out of his semi-retirement to present this evening, in December.
“I look forward to the month of December of each year with infinite impatience”, he thus delivers to the Parisian this Saturday.
Last ceremony for Sylvie Tellier
Sylvie Tellier, who has worked for the Miss France committee for 17 years and has been its director for 15 years, will host her last Miss France election tonight. A few months after the arrival of the new president Alexia Laroche-Joubert, in October 2021, Sylvie Tellier announced her departure in August 2022.
The coexistence of the two women, who have quite a different approach to competition, was sometimes quite stormy. It ends tonight. Sylvie Tellier passes the baton to Cindy Fabre, also a former Miss France.
A Miss France that has changed… really?
This year, under the impetus of the new president, Alexia Laroche-Joubert, the rules have changed. The age limit has disappeared, the candidates can now be mothers and married, and can get tattooed. Only the criterion of size remains.
Despite this relaxation, we see that the Misses have a profile quite similar to that of the candidates of previous years. Apart from three 26-year-old candidates and two tattooed Misses.
“We are not in a revolution but in an evolution”, has also warned Alexia Laroche-Joubert, who wants to develop the competition based on “small touches”.
