Hollywood lost a shining star last week in the form of Stephen “tWitch” Boss, veteran dancer and former DJ Up The Ellen DeGeneres Show. The beloved star took her own life at the age of 40, and since then many of her have wished her family and loved ones well. Her sudden death was confirmed by her wife, Allison Holker Boss, and other relatives are now speaking after her. Boss’s mother reached out about her via a social media post, while her grandfather said he was “completely devastated” by his grandson’s death.
Connie Boss Alexander shared a post on her Instagram Story shortly after tWitch’s death went public. In the message, that he was captured by MYSELF! information Alexander thanked fans for their condolences, assuring them that he is very aware of all the love he has received:
Family and friends, thank you for all the love, prayers and encouragement. Please note that I see all messages, texts, posts and phone calls. I can’t use words right now. Know that I will contact you as soon as possible.
Stephen Boss and his mom seemed incredibly close. In her affectionate caption Connie Boss Alexander made note of her son’s professional accomplishments, though she stressed she was more impressed with “the man you’ve become.” The profile picture on Alexander’s account is currently a snapshot of her and Stephen.
tWitch’s grandfather, Eddy Boss, has opened up a little more about his death. The 84-year-old spoke with dailymail.com and revealed the last time he and his nephew spoke. The older chef also allegedly gave details of how the Magical Mike XXL Alum’s behavior during their final interaction:
We spoke as recently as Saturday on more than one occasion. He was the same carefree as always. We had no indication that anything was out of the ordinary.
Allison Holker Boss reportedly ran frantically to an LAPD station on Tuesday, claiming her husband had left the house without a vehicle. It was apparently unusual for the experienced artist. Sometime later, authorities were alerted to a shooting at a Los Angeles hotel, where Stephen Boss’s body was eventually found. The cause of death is believed to have been a self-inflicted gunshot wound, and police have since confirmed this The boss also left a note . Eddy Boss admitted he was “not sure” whether Stephen’s death was actually a suicide. But putting his uncertainty aside, he later paid tribute to his nephew during this same interview:
He was a very humble and generous person. He brought light into everyone’s life. We are completely devastated right now. All I can say is that she was a beautiful person who contributed so much to this world and to everyone she met in a positive way. We miss a lot and suffer a lot. Every word has a meaning. Her last words to me were a simple text saying “I love you daddy-daddy.” Our question is why? Where is he from ?

Justin Timberlake remembered that also, and Tyler Perry has opened up about his suicide attempts while honoring the star.
