James Cameron’s new blockbuster, with a duration of 3h12, achieved 1,847 million viewers in its first 5 days of operation, marked by the realization of the semifinal (France/Morocco) and the final of the FIFA World Cup, which saw Argentina win on penalties against France.

“Almost 2/3 of these entries were made in rooms that offered 3D HDR and HFR technology, and in most cases, in premium rooms,” the production studios specify in their press release.
Until then, the film that opened best in theaters during its first week of release was Black Panther: Wakanda Foreverwith 1.69 million tickets, according to data from the CBO Box Office.
Better start than the first installment
For comparison, the first Avatar it had gathered 1,806 million viewers during its first five days in theaters, for a total of 14 million viewers. Worldwide, the film was the biggest box office success in history, grossing almost three billion euros.
