Deadpool 3’s Hugh Jackman offers a big hint about his return as Wolverine

Marvel fans have been anticipating the return of Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine ever since Ryan Reynolds posted his viral announcement. Of course, the Marvel character died late in Jackman’s supposed last outing as a beloved character: 2017. Logano. So people are now wondering how the deceased X-Man will be resurrected for the new film. While the script is currently in the works, Jackman himself has given fans a big hint as to how his character is being brought back to life.

Jackman shared the clue when asked about the latter dead Pool following The Jess Cagle Show. He hinted that Marvel Studios head Kevin Feige’s approach to the multiverse could play a role in his MCU debut. Here’s what he specifically said:

But all thanks to this device that they have in the Marvel world to go through timelines, now we can go back because, you know, it’s science. And so I don’t have to worry about the Logan timeline, which was important to me, and I’m probably thinking about the fans as well.

This makes sense, as the Multiverse will be featured in many of the upcoming Marvel Cinematic Universe productions. However, we still don’t have 100% confirmation and there are still other unknowns surrounding the story. Director Shawn Levy has already provided an update on Wolverine’s return, and while he hasn’t given any details, it appears the creative team is making some serious progress.

The Hollywood Renaissance man has been open about how he regretted stepping down from the role of the diamond-clawed mutant after seeing a screening of the first Deadpool movie. Around the time Reynolds and Marvel were reuniting for the third film, the X-Men star agreed to return due to an epiphany he had while on vacation, which hit him after years, where Ryan Reynolds has begged to come back.

Ultimately, the seeds for Hugh Jackman’s return were sown in the mid-credits scenes of Deadpool 2. Viewers watched the Merc mouthfully rectify Reynolds’ grievances about his first Marvel appearance killing off X-Men’s Wade Wilson origins. At the same time, he offers Wolvie to come back for another outing. the Baby The star was finally set to reprise the role if her looks didn’t interfere with Logan’s critically acclaimed and emotional finale.

Of course, Hugh Jackman is no stranger to Marvel movies with multiple timelines, like him and his sidekicks x-men alum Halle Berry played future Wolverine and Storm X-Men: Days of Future Past. Also, another x-men Former student Patrick Stewart carried on as a 54-year-old artist, reprising his role as Professor X in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. The character appeared as an inhabitant of an alternate universe, which was visited by Strange and America Chavez. So the jump angle of the universe can definitely make anything possible. However, a question remains as to what Wolverine fans will get.

You’d think that Hugh Jackman, Ryan Reynolds and the team are planning to bring a variation of Logan similar to what audiences have come to know over the years. However, don’t be surprised if it’s different in any way. For example, you might end up sporting a variation of that classic yellow bathing suit. Aside from his suit, we’re hoping Jackman returns because the character makes sense and makes for a fun cinematic ride.

Fans will see what happens when Deadpool 3 will be released in theaters on November 8, 2024. The film could become a key part of the multiverse saga of the MCU, which includes the slate of upcoming Marvel films.
