In less than a month, Todd and Julie Chrisley will begin radically different chapters in their lives. Former reality couple they were found guilty of bank fraud and more this summer and in November, they were sentenced to years in prison. Sources state that tThe Chrisleys are not happy with the verdict. and pains, and it has been reported that intention to appeal . Meanwhile, some may be wondering what the couple has been doing with their time in the last few weeks before they report to jail. Well, Lindsie Chrisley, Todd’s eldest daughter from a previous marriage, is now opening up about it.
Julie and Todd Chrisley were sentenced to 19 years in prison combined, and the two also received 16 years of probation each. Lindsie Chrisley has since explained how she, her dad, stepmom and the rest of the family are handling the situation. she noticeably revealed an obnoxious moment in a restaurant which saw her called to be a Chrisley. When asked what her parents have been up to lately, she said they are doing everything they can to make the most of the time:
My parents say regularly, and I think they said it on their podcast as well, that right now it’s about living each day like it’s your last, enjoying the moment, spending time with your kids who are in Nashville .
In the months leading up to their sentencing, the Chrisleys shared honest feelings about the legal troubles they had faced. Todd specifically expressed his disagreement with those who claim to understand their situation . the Chrisley knows best star was also thoughtful, as he remembered other difficult times in his life, such as when he has become a “slave” to money . These days, the messages they share on their podcast, Chrisley’s Confessions, they suggest focusing primarily on their family. Later in his interview with People Lindsie spoke more about what this personal time entails:
Sure, I spend time with my parents on the phone because I have joint custody as well. [with my ex-husband William Campbell]. So I can’t afford the luxury of going to Nashville and staying there until January. But my parents certainly devote their time to therapy and their Bible studies, as do their children.
Speaking of kids, Todd and Julie had custody of two of their youngest children: Grayson, 16, and their granddaughter/adopted daughter, Chloe, 10. His daughter, Savannah, he was ready to get custody of the two minors, however, a legal case could derail those plans. Chloe’s biological mother, Angela Johnson, is seeking custody and Todd called her for officially relinquishing her parental rights years ago. How things play out with this potential legal battle remains to be seen.
The Chrisleys’ future is also uncertain, as there’s no telling whether or not their appeal efforts will be successful. However, since some variables remain up in the air, don’t be surprised if Lindsie and other family members keep talking before the couple heads to jail in Florida on Jan. 17.
