It has been worth more than a decade of waiting since then Avatar: the path of water join the flow new film releases in theaters last weekend. As James Cameron’s sci-fi sequel begins its journey around the world, the future of Avatars the franchise has new questions in the wake of the path of the water end . With one of those questions relating to a decision made by Jack Champion’s character Spider, Cameron’s epic overarching story has an interesting dynamic at play.
Actor Stephen Lang, who played the hapless Colonel Miles Quaritch and his recently resurrected version, added interesting context to the decision we’re about to discuss. avatars 2 end. As such, we’ll give you one more caveat before we discuss what Lang said to Gossipify’s Sean O’Connell during 20th century studies print day for Avatar: the path of water.
Spider’s decision at the end of Avatar: The Way Of Water
With the big final set of avatars big sequel that sees the Sully family take on Colonel Quaritch’s avatar Recombinant Na’vi, it seems Miles’ ticket has been struck again. Had Spider not saved him from drowning, the notorious villain would have perished, robbing the franchise of his most memorable foe yet. However, thanks to Quaritch still breathing, Stephen Lang has established the following concept to explore future sequels:
It’s wonderful. The guy is conflicted, sure, but it’s like… it’s justice there, he lets him be… look, fatherhood aside, all that aside, the thing is 20 minutes ago, I saved his life. . I’ve given up on the mission of keeping the boy alive. ‘Cause there’s no doubt in my mind that [Neytiri] I would have cut his throat. And so, I think he, you know, reciprocates. So we’re right up there with Steven on that, you know. This doesn’t necessarily reflect that he considers me “dad,” because he doesn’t.
That’s right, folks: Spider is the original son of Miles Quaritch. The short, short version of this story is as follows: Spider, originally named Miles, was born shortly before the death of his biological father. So you can see where Colonel Quaritch’s whole Na’vi resurrection would create problems for a child raised among the people, as children cannot go through the cryosleep journey required to get to Pandora and back. .
What Spider’s actions mean to move the Avatar story forward
So what do Miles “Spider” Socorro’s actions mean for the future of the Avatars series? Well, as Stephen Lang explained earlier, Spider has taken over the Recom version of Quaritch in the name of settling scores. With this new twist on an old foe who adamantly admits the two aren’t related by blood, Spider and Colonel Quaritch have no family ties to forge. Which makes sense, since the young man has watched his pseudo-resurrected father engage in cruel behavior throughout his life. Avatar: the path of water.
Those of you who think there might be some sort of family reconciliation in the next chapter, or even the sixth and seventh potential Avatars Movie James Cameron plays, you might want to think otherwise. while there is something inspiring ideas of wild f-bombs coming soon for pandora it doesn’t seem like Miles and Spider building a father/son relationship is a part of it.
If Miles and Spider ever meet for a rematch, there’s sure to be mixed feelings in the air. So maybe they’re not ready to kill each other right after they meet. Anything is possible, as the future of Cameron’s sci-fi epic remains as mysterious as it’s ever been. Avatars First published in 2009.
