Disney + Disenchanted trailer sees Amy Adams’ Giselle searching for a fairy tale life in the suburbs

We waited a long time for our reunion with Amy Adams’ Giselle after the 2007 hit Enchantedand now we finally have a first look at its next Disney + sequel. Just like the disillusioned problem took to the stage at Expo D23 to share with Disney fans what Giselle was up to, the trailer was also released online. It seems we can now expect the fairytale turned New Yorker to transition to suburban life with exciting reunions, new music, and many more magical spells.

In the first trailer of disillusioned (above) and set to air this fall, Amy Adams’ Giselle still sings with animals in skyscrapers, but she and Patrick Dempsey’s Robert are preparing to start a new life away from the Big Apple. However, her new home is a “superior fixer” and her problems lead Giselle to seek out the magic to solve her problems.

As we see in the first look at the sequel, when old friends James Marsden, Prince Edward and Nancy Tremaine, played by Idina Menzel, are shown their new home and new life, Edward gives Giselle a way to make a wish and turn things around. . I work for you. However, when he decides he wants a “fairytale life”, everything goes “terribly wrong”, as Giselle puts it, suburban life begins to feel like a place straight out of a storybook. And, in a wild twist, Giselle appears to become the stereotypical “stepmother” of her adopted daughter, against her wishes.

As you may recall from the 2007 film, when Giselle falls in love with Robert, she also develops a romantic relationship with her young daughter, Morgan. When we go back to disillusioned, Morgan is now grown up and is played by Gabriella Baldacchino in place of Rachel Covey, as well as having a new child with Robert. However, as all of these fairy tales appear in her new city after Giselle’s wish has been granted, such as talking animals, musical numbers and fantastic ball gowns, she starts doing terrible things to Morgan, like locking her up in rooms and shoving her down the wells. . . . Will Giselle be the villain of her fairytale world?

With the trailer ending with Giselle surprised by saying “Badly good!” on a slightly evil note, we will have to prepare to see a new side of the usual lovable protagonist. Meanwhile, there is a new main character in Maya Rudolph’s Malvina Monroe, who is a major suburban actor. He also gives off great bad vibes, especially in a scene where she rocks. an all-black fairytale suit that we already saw in May .

Along with the reveal of the trailer, Disney also revealed the official disillusioned poster. To take a look at:

The motto is “Happy forever”. As a longtime fan Enchantedthe trailer for disillusioned I’m super excited for the sequel. And while we have a good idea of what the plot will look like, there’s still a lot to discover about the film, including Original music by Alan Menken for the film, following his work on the previous film. disillusioned reaches those who have Disney + subscription November 24.
