Gurira recently spoke about a deleted scene from black Panther sequel that would have most influenced the future of the character, perhaps in upcoming Marvel movies .

Perhaps it was removed because Marvel needed more time to decide if they really wanted Okoye to say goodbye to Shuri at the end of wakanda foreverOr were there so many things? wakanda forever, it was simply cut for time. Whatever the reason, it’s interesting to learn more about the details of Okoye’s planned sequel. She could play a lot in Okoye sequel. wakanda forever had the huge task of passing the torch to Shuri as Black Panther after the death of Chadwick Boseman. As recently shared by Ryan Coogler, the the original story would have focused on father and son but instead the story of T’Challa’s son was moved a moving final credits scene which led Shuri to meet her nephew.
Looking ahead, we still don’t know where black Panther the characters will then appear. The MCU will be revived on February 17 with the release of Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantummania.
