After a new series of tributes, King Charles III will travel back to Scotland where he will participate in a religious ceremony.

Another day of tributes across the Channel. The day after the arrival of the coffin of Elizabeth II at the Palace of Holyroodhouse in Edinburgh, after a journey of 300 kilometers through Scotland, the day promises to be busy for the new British sovereign Charles III.

A Monday that should begin in London at 10 am (11 am in Paris) where the latter will receive from Westminster Hall the condolences of the presidents of the two chambers. Later, Charles III and his wife, the queen consort Camilla, will fly to Edinburgh, where they will go to the Palace of Holyroodhouse.

Starting at 2:35 p.m., 3:35 p.m. French time, Elizabeth II’s coffin will leave the royal residence for Saint-Giles Cathedral in the Scottish capital where a religious ceremony will take place starting at 3:00 p.m. (4:00 p.m. French time). According to CNN, she is invited to an assembly made up of “all sections of Scottish society”. At the end of it, the public will be able to congregate in front of the remains of the sovereign, who will remain in the religious building until Tuesday.

For its part, the royal family will participate in a wake at night. Before, Carlos III will have gone to the Scottish Parliament for a session of condolences to which the local Prime Minister, Nicola Sturgeon, is invited.
