In this ranking, inspired by user research, Shazam highlights five artists who are likely to succeed globally this year.

Five French artists on the list
In addition to this selection, Shazam has also compiled a list of five predictions for different countries like France. The application thus estimates that in 2023 it will be necessary to watch the former singer of the Thérapie Taxi group, Adé, but also the Nigerian Carterefe, the Spanish Munic HB, the J-Pop artist Natori and the Colombian KEITYN.
And France is also in the spotlight in the general classification. Of the 50 artists mentioned, five are French: Adé (know everything), Robin (Slowly), STANIA (Only you achievement. Rema & Offset) and rappers Werenoi (selfie achievement. Maes) and Favé (Urus).
A powerful prediction tool
To establish this prophetic selection, there is no crystal ball. Shazam explains that it has crossed the “millions of requests” from its users around the world with data from Apple Music to derive the main trends to come.
“These Shazams are coming from everywhere: from TikTok videos, car commercials, cafes, or even sounds heard outside. It is this variety that makes Shazam a powerful tool for predicting the most popular artists of the future”, the application specifies in the description of its list. .
Last year, Shazam already released a list of predictions for 2022 that turned out to be quite true to the music trends seen over the past year. The application had bet notably on the success of Afrobeats singer Ayra Starr, who has since been on Barack Obama’s annual playlist, or Nigerian singer Lojay, who experienced a 696% increase in searches on Shazam. this year.
