The cast then appeared on screen, cried, rolled their eyes, and honored the late and respected Leslie Jordan. It was a very real moment that couldn’t have been a more fitting homage, even if it shattered the illusion of the episode.
The spotlight then turned to the country music legend and part-time actress. birth doll, who shared a few words about Leslie Jordan. After singing a few lines of the gospel song “Where the Soul Never Dies” that Jordan and Parton performed together, Parton went on to say a few words about her friend:
I know funerals usually talk about someone, but I’m going to talk to you because there’s this place on the other side, and I’ll definitely see you there, little brother. You have left many people here with many precious memories. They all loved you, but I doubt many of them loved you more than me. Anyway, I just wanted you to know that we all love you, miss you, and I bet you’re laughing so hard we’re all sad and heartbroken, and I know that would be the last thing you want. that we can be You have made us happy that you are here, and we are happy that you are at peace.
Then came Dolly Parton and Leslie Jordan’s version of “Where The Soul Never Dies,” while call me cat posted a montage of some of Phil’s best moments on the show. I can’t imagine any fans having dry eyes, nor will anyone visit the episode with their Hulu subscription in the future. It was a fitting send-off for the actor, one that fans will no doubt miss in the future.
