Prince Harry has been making the rounds, lobbying the press for the publication of his revealing memoir, Replacement. A number of bomb-laden book have already emerged, particularly in relation to the Duke of Sussex’s tense relationship with his brother, Prince William, and his father, King Charles III. In the interviews with 60 minutes Yup hello AmericaHarry also spoke about his stepmother, Camilla, and how she became “dangerous” and “sacrificed” him to the press in an attempt to rehabilitate his image. The prince also clarified what her position was with her today.
Camilla Parker Bowles has long been known to have been involved with the now King Charles III, and Prince Harry wrote Replacement who struck a deal with British media to pave the way for the wedding, which he and William have apparently urged their father not to do. Harry said he made her “dangerous,” Anderson Cooper said 60 minutes that Camilla “sacrificed me on her personal PR altar.” Continues:
She was the bad one. She was the third person in their marriage. She needed to restore her image of her. … This made her dangerous because of the connections she made to the British press. And there was an open willingness on both sides to exchange information. And with a family built on hierarchy, and with it on its way to becoming queen consort, there would be people or bodies left on the street because of it.
Prince Harry seems to understand the position of the queen consort. He reportedly wrote in his memoir that if you think having positive stories written about you in the media will improve your reputation with the public, then it will.
She spoke more about her mother-in-law with Michael Strahan hello America and, while expressing his affection for all his family members, he admitted that he and Camilla had not spoken to each other for a long time. The Duke says:
It’s been a long time since we last spoke. You know, I love every member of my family, despite their differences, so when I see her, we’re perfectly nice to each other. She is my mother in law. I don’t see her as a bad mother-in-law. I see someone who has espoused this institution and gone to great lengths to improve its reputation and image for their own good.
Some startling claims from Prince Harry’s book, due out this month, have captured much of the public’s attention. In the ReplacementThe Duke of Sussex spoke about his infamous Nazi outfit and the role his brother apparently played in his decision to use him. He also claims that after Prince William’s wedding, Charles and Camilla wanted his wife, Catherine, change the spelling of your name so he started with a “K”, mentioning too many royals with “C” names.
Prince Harry has also detailed a physical fight he got into with William after his brother called Meghan Markle ‘difficult’, ‘rude’ and ‘abrasive’, and wrote about cruel jokes King Charles III allegedly played with him as he was growing up. . With the release of the book, more stories are likely to circulate in the coming days, and it doesn’t look like it reconciliation with Harry’s father and brother it could happen soon.
