As detailed in legal documents acquired by The Blast, Roberto Orci has filed for divorce from his wife, Adele Heather Taylor, and has asked the court to issue a restraining order against his domestic violence. Orci says Taylor abused him for years and allegedly burning him with soup was the biggest example. According to Orci, the two had a falling out on Dec. 22, 2022, and Taylor threatened to divorce him and “clean it up,” as well as insulting him in various ways. Orci says he tried not to commit to her and instead went into the kitchen and heated up a bowl of soup.
After the soup was heated, and with Adele Heather Taylor continuing to yell at him, Roberto Orci started walking up the stairs and she allegedly “thrust the bowl of hot soup” in his face. Orci says he managed to block the bowl with his hand, but it caused second-degree burns to his arm from the contents of the hot soup, and when he fought back in pain, Taylor reportedly told him “the farm.” and that would be “ok”. In addition to delivering this account, Orci also shared photos of his burn arm.
Among the other alleged incidents of domestic violence Roberto Orci recounts in these legal documents, Adele Heather Taylor strangled him while they were in a hotel room in Las Vegas (she says police arrested her for domestic battery), pushed down a plane of stairs last November, punched him in the face three times while driving after he stopped her from arguing that night, and punched him in the face in 2019. Orci also recounted once in which Taylor allegedly knocked on her bedroom door with a baseball bat after he refused to argue with her. Back in the present, Orci cites “irreconcilable differences” as the reason he is separating from his wife, and asks a judge to order Taylor to stay away from him.
Roberto Orci and Adele Heather Taylor will now have to file their opinions through their legal teams, after which a judge will decide whether or not to file a restraining order. It’s also worth mentioning that Orci admitted she didn’t cooperate with the police when Taylor was allegedly arrested, so no charges have been brought against her.
