Walker: Independence’s Abby made a big complaint at the winter premiere, and she’s probably right

Attention! The following contains spoilers for the Walker: Independence Season 1 episode “The Death of Mary Collins”. Read at your own risk!

Abigail Walker It’s been in town for so long I almost forgot it started Walker: Independence with the name Marie Abigail Collins. Fortunately, that name was buried with the help of her sister. Charlie, who originally came to town from Boston to see if Mary/Abby was still alive. Charlie not only helped his sister fake her death so she could continue her quest for revenge Liambut his actions helped set up a pivotal scene that made Abby believe the sheriff tom davidson might not be the killer you’re looking for after all.

Abby confessed it at a table shared by Today, kateand deputy Gus at the end of the episode, much to her surprise. Here’s what got Abby thinking about who killed her husband and why this latest episode should encourage viewers to believe she’s right by changing their minds.

A mysterious stranger made Abby have second thoughts

Abby was walking home in the evening after a day of looking for “Mary Collins” when she thought she saw Tom Davidson coming towards her from the other direction. Abby called the sheriff, even though she could only see the brim of his black hat and her goatee because it was a beautiful but dark western night. In the end it was a completely different man who took off his hat and surely gave a wicked smile before continuing on his way.

Unfortunately, Abby didn’t really elaborate on why this encounter caused her to rethink her previous theory that Tom was the killer we’ve been investigating for some time. I guess she Abby she realized she didn’t look at Liam’s killer as well as she initially thought and maybe she misidentified Sheriff Tom as the killer so she might as well be a man like that. Abby is the smartest character in Walker: IndependenceSo I’m a little disappointed that it took him so long to come to this conclusion.

How Tom Davidson’s actions can prove he’s not the killer

I’ve speculated in the past that if Tom Davidson was the person who killed Liam Collins and attempted to kill Mary Collins, he would know who Abby Walker really was. At first I thought maybe Tom had offered Abby a job to keep an eye on her. After this last episode, I think it’s possible that Tom had nothing to do with Liam’s death.

When Charlie arrived in town looking for Mary Collins, Tom Davidson wasn’t worried at all. Indeed, he has gathered a mob of people to search for her, hoping to find the wife of the confirmed deceased, Liam Collins. If Tom had known that Abby was Mary, he would have known that her sister would recognize her and might even freak out and try to make them both disappear.

Tom also had the opportunity to confront Abby about being Mary as they were alone looking for Mary Collins. Instead, he thanked her for saving him after he was stabbed, so it seems more likely to me that Tom has no idea who Abby really is. This, in my opinion, makes it seem highly unlikely that he killed off Liam, even though viewers may find that he’s still a sleazy character in other ways by the season finale.

time will tell how Walker: Independence continue with Season 1 on Thursdays cw at 9pm ET. His return is just one of many exciting shows in the 2023 TV schedule, so be sure to check out what’s available now and in the coming weeks as the year begins.
