Just like the cast of Mayor of Kingtown preparing to promote and host its second season, the star of the show, Jeremy Renner, was serious injured in a fatal accident with a snowplow . Now co-creator and series star Hugh Dillon talks about when he met the avengers The actor would have been fine, and that implied a rather “profane” message from Renner.
As we chat with Gossipify about season two of Mayor of Kingtown, Dillon spoke about the collaboration with Renner. However, he also reflected on the fear he felt when he discovered that his longtime friend and colleague had been in a serious accident. Dillon recalled his reaction upon hearing the news, then recounted the story of the NSFW message he received from Renner that made it clear the actor would be fine.
He’s like a brother. I mean, he’s family. So when he had the accident the other day, I just wanted to go to the airport and find him and everything stopped for me. And then, he’s like a big brother, and then he texted me, a video. [saying] ‘Yup!’ and i had never felt so relieved in my life, because he was so rude and funny. I was like watching the news, and I was so worried and scared for him, and hearing the news. [So] When I received your video, I cried because it was so funny and touching.
It was clear from chatting with Dillon that he cares deeply about Renner, and he was incredibly relieved when he received this NSFW video from his friend. I guess even though the message was full of profanity, hearing Renner’s voice and seeing him joking must have been a huge relief.
following Renner is hit by his own snowplow. as he tried to pave the way, several other actors and friends reached out to send their support and condolences to the actor. This included Chris Evans sends love to his friend on Instagram for Renner’s birthday, Colin Farrell talks about staying connected with his TO BREAK co-star, e Mark Ruffalo asks fans to pray for Renner after the terrible accident.
After Renner is airlifted to the hospital and treated, posted a photo of the hospital , thanking everyone for the “good words”. Although he noted that he was “too complicated” to “write,” his post proved to all of us that he was okay, as did the video Dillon received. However, a few weeks after the incident, it was explained that the injured locker the actor is “squash” your progress goals so hopefully that means he’ll be back soon.
I really hope that Renner can return to work in the near future, so that he, Dillon and Taylor Sheridan can continue to create the Mayor of Kingtown. Meanwhile, Dillon explained what fans can expect regarding Renner’s impact on the second season of the Paramount+ series:
I work with him all the time. You know, we are like a family. it’s like Taylor [Sheridan]. He’s relentless, he’s driven, he wants to find that honesty. And that’s what makes it so watchable. This year is like [Robert] De Niro in Raging Bull. This transformation is that you can’t take your eyes off it. it’s impressive
The good news for all of us is that Renner “Angry Bull” as a performance in the second season of Mayor of Kingtown will be available to see with a Subscription to Paramount+ when it premiered at the top of TV show 2023 This Sunday, January 15th. Hopefully, he can bounce back in season two and be ready to be mayor again if the show is renewed for a third season.
