If you were to live in one place for a few years and then move to another country, there would definitely be an adjustment period. There would be things about the old place that you would miss. It could be a particular culinary specialty or a unique kind of entertainment, but for Rupert Grint’s daughter, what she seems to miss most now that she’s in the UK is… Target. But then again, who doesn’t love Target?
Harry Potter Franchise co-star Rupert Grint recently wrapped production on the Apple TV+ series. Waiter, which forced his family to move from Philadelphia, where the series was filmed, back to his native England. For Grint’s nearly three-year-old daughter Wednesday, whose name will soon become wildly popular, it has been difficult as she has spent more of her life in the US than in the UK. . Grint recently explained in The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon Adjusting to your new home has been difficult. She misses a lot of things she loved when she lived in Philadelphia, but especially Target. Grunt said…
It went back and forth. He loves Philadelphia. He loves hoagies. He likes popsicles. The big one is Target. She is obsessed with Target.
Apparently it’s not that strange, because Jimmy Fallon says his kids are obsessed with Target too. Part of that is apparently because Target has an aisle of toys. Grint says she’s a Princess fan, and many Target stores have dedicated Disney sections. And because we no longer have Toys R Us, there is no longer a major national toy store. But apparently that’s not all. The kid loves being at Target. Grunt says he’d rather go to Target than the park or zoo.
If there was something about a specific local target that Wednesday liked, that might explain things a bit. But apparently that’s not the case. In fact, he enjoyed going to several Target stores on Wednesday to check out each one. Grin continued…
He likes to go to different lenses and see how the layout is slightly different. And sometimes he doesn’t buy anything. He just wants to set sail.
I mean, when you stop to think about it, Target can be pretty good. This is a store that has such a selection of things that it’s likely to have just about everything you could possibly want, and having that kind of selection is nice. Maybe it’s a little surprising that there’s nothing like it in the UK, but it’s certainly possible.
If nothing else, it makes you wonder how lucky maybe all of ours are. We probably take Target for granted, without necessarily seeing it as a wonderful place. Yet, for three-year-old Wednesday, the shop is apparently an absolute stunner. Maybe we should all try to see things through those eyes more often.
