There are few, if any, in this world who have had a life quite like Lisa Marie Presley’s. As the daughter of Elvis, she became one of the most famous people in the world after doing nothing but being born. After her death, music fans remember the icon and the life she lived.
Lisa Marie Presley went into cardiac arrest on Thursday, January 12 and was rushed to a local hospital, but died later that day. Many who knew her, and those who felt they did, remembered Presley. In a statement to THRLactor Nicolas Cage, who was married to Presley for two years, remembered both Presley and his son Benjamin, who died in 2020. Cage said:
This is devastating news. Lisa had the biggest laugh of anyone she’s ever met. She lit up every room and I’m heartbroken. I find some comfort in believing that she has found her son Benjamin.
“Rumultuous” is a word many use when discussing the life of Lisa Marie Presley. While many might expect the daughter of one of the biggest stars in the world to have an easy life, Parsley’s struggles are well known due to her lifelong standing in the public eye. Like Presley, sitcom and game show host Leah Remini was a member of the Church of Scientology and spoke about it in her recollections, saying:

Lisa Marie Presley has been in even more of the spotlight than usual recently, as Elvis himself once again made Hollywood talk. Baz Luhrmann’s film about the king of rock and roll was in competition this week at the Golden Globe Awards, where Lisa Marie was in attendance as Austin Butler won Best Actor for the lead role. Rita Wilson, wife of film co-star Tom Hanks, took to Instagram to talk about how she met Presley during the film’s production.
But besides those who knew Lisa Marie Presley, there were everyone who knew Lisa Marie. From her famous father to her brief marriage to Michael Jackson to her work in the music industry, she has always been in the public eye. Yet few can relate to what it’s like to be her. Dozens of those who knew Lisa Marie Presley well and those who knew her only briefly now remember the woman after she’s gone. Presley is survived by her mother Pricilla and three daughters. Though her life was difficult, this outpouring of love shows that Lisa Marie Presley clearly had so many people who loved her.
