While Neil Patrick Harris makes a lot of headlines these days for being a gay extraordinaire dad takes his kids to disney world and other hilarious adventures, he was long best known for playing Barney Stinson on the hit CBS sitcom. how I Met Your Mother. It was no secret that Barney wouldn’t let anything get in his way, but now a hilarious bug has sold out filming for the show and it’s a priceless deal.
It was not unusual for NPH Barney’s character to sit next to Cobie Smulders’ Robin when the gang frequented MacLaren’s Pub during episodes of the series. In a scene later in the series (Robin and Barney were dating later in the series), the two argued in a booth about playing video games naked. The characters mutually agreed to such activity, so Harris reached out to help Smulders out of the booth and accidentally grabbed his chest instead, causing the rest of the cast to laugh.

This kind of incident might not always be funny, but given the accidental context (he grabs her hand) and what the characters were talking about just before, there were plenty of laughs here. It was clearly a mistake, though the timing couldn’t have been funnier given the context of the dialogue the two actors were trying to complete to conclude the episode. Smulders also seemed amused by what accidentally happened, grimacing at the camera as if to say, “What just happened?
I love when moments from the making of TV shows go viral because they give fans an idea of how long filming days are. The actors repeat the same dialogue over and over to capture the right camera angles and the right frame rates, and sometimes stupid things end up happening. Recently, another BTS mistake from the making of Friends also ran. in this, Aniston took a real phone call during Friends scene, and that led to another hilarious moment.
As for Neil Patrick Harris and Cobie Smulders, both have left theirs HIMYM a few days ago, but they probably still make the classic mistakes from time to time. NPH has an exciting track record Doctor who next episode and Smulders is still doing a lot of work for Marvel including upcoming concerts at covert invasion Yup Marvel’s Moon Girl and the Devil Dinosaur.
If the two cross paths again on screen, chances are there won’t be any accidental mistakes… but hopefully there will still be plenty of laughs. But the bloopers should definitely live as Hulu will premiere season 2 of the sequel to the classic sitcom, how i met your father.
