After conquering the French box office with NovemberJean Dujardin returns to the stage on March 22 with a new dramatic film, in the dark waysan adaptation of the novel by Sylvain Tesson.
Dujardin plays Pierre, a writer who falls into a coma after falling several stories from the front of a hotel. When he wakes up, when he can barely stand and against everyone’s advice, he decides to walk through France, taking the diagonal of the void, to cross these forgotten paths.
The director Denis Imbert adapts here the autobiographical book of Sylvain Tesson published in 2016. In this book, of which more than 230,000 copies have been sold, the adventurer-novelist recounts the true journey on foot through France that he undertook after his coma. Jean Dujardin answers to Jonathan Zaccaï, Izïa Higelin and Anny Duperey.
Filming took place in particular in the Alpes-Maritimes. A production choice to support the victims of storm Alex in September 2021. “In our own way, something had to be done for them. We are very happy to support them,” he had indicated to nice morning the producer of the film Clément Miserez.
